Plants and Trees as per Nakshatras (All 3 Parts Combined) by Vijay Dubey
The concept of plant adoption is derived from the ancient Vedic culture. Vedic astrology is based on the concept of Nakshatras (constellations) and Rashis (according to the signs of the Moon). All are in 27 nakshatras and each person is assigned a nakshatra based on the date and time on which he/she is born (Tithi).
Each constellation has a symbolic tree or plant that defines its connection with the eternal nature. There was a tradition in the ancient Vedic culture that whenever a child is born in one’s house, that person should plant a tree of the same constellation on which the child was born. The person had to take care of the tree as his child as it was believed that the better and healthier the tree, it would give more health and happiness to the child.
If these trees have been assigned to 27 Nakshatras by Vedic sages, then it would be worthwhile for us to know which tree belongs to our Janma Nakshatra (birth constellation) and to have some idea about its medicinal values or other applications.
