A Beginner’s Guide to the Stars by Kelvin McKready
(not a very sharp scan – perhaps for a very old book)
The purpose of this guide is to help beginners in their very earliest steps toward recognizing the stars and planets. Its first chapter, on Learning to Observe, prepares the way for the clear black-and-white charts, adapted to the changing seasons of the year and the different hours of the night. The Guide is planned chiefly for naked-eye observing, but a few suggestions are given for the use of opera-glass or field-glass.
