The Tajak system of Astrology, (which has been expounded in Varshaphal or the Hindu Progressed Horoscope by Dr. B. V. Raman) is unique in its own way and whilst making a definite departure from the Parasari system is yet an integral part of it. In fact, the Tajak method marks a transition between the Hindu and Western systems of Astrology. It was propounded by the indian sages, developed by arabian scholars and later on completely absorbed into the Ptolemaic precepts. Thus when the western astrologers talk of the so-called ‘sensitive points’ they are not suggesting any improvements over the astrological lore they have but are in reality admitting the truth of an important but little known branch of astrological knowledge of the hindus which rightly merits serious attention of all thinkers.
